Lovely Lilac Purse

This little cutie was made out of Peaches and Cream Lilac ombre...took two and a half days to finish.  The pattern is found in Susan Bates Learn to Knit kit.  I'm hoping to use it as an example to teach my niece to knit.  This is only my second fo... All in all I am proud of it... Gentle critique appreciated...

Lovely Lilac Purse
I wonder what it will carry
Dreams of a little girl?
Cloths for her dolls?
Will I use it to keep organized?
The possibles are endless.
As it was taking shape, the way the colors moved thru the piece fascinated me and filled me with wonder.
When I cast the last stitch off, I was so excited.
I had another creation.  I did it myself.
Made with love and stitched with joy

  1. This is indeed lovely! The stitch pattern works so well with your variegated yarn. It's great to see another stitch that does this. I love variegated yarn, but not all of my favorite stitches look good with it.

Great job! Did you use a pattern? Got a link?
